Project 21 is a charity with a difference, delivering innovative activities, education, clubs and events for people with Down’s Syndrome across the East of England. We pride ourselves on thinking creatively, listening to the voices of the Down’s Syndrome community, and turning their aspirations into reality. Promoting independence, confidence and personal development is at the heart of everything we do, empowering people with Down’s Syndrome to live happy, active, and fulfilling lives.

The charity currently operates across three branches in Cambridgeshire, Essex, and Suffolk, providing a wide range of opportunities that support imagineering, learning, wellbeing and growth.

Our activities include:

• Monday to Friday provision
• Saturday classes (half and full day options)
• Work placement programme (paid & voluntary opportunities)
• Spotlight 21: a specialist performing arts programme
• Culture Club: educational course including a combination of community-based experiences, trips and classroom learning 
• Weekly social events, including pub nights for adults
• Residential and respite opportunities, providing 37 days and 30 nights of support each year

Through these programmes, Project 21 supports members to develop, grow, learn, build friendships and access meaningful opportunities and experiences within their community.
